Very stiff and hard, at first.

It will take some time and use to get it to soften to the point where you don't feel like you're scraping your skin on cement. That said, I've had one before for a long time and it eventually is softer and effective without scarring.

Finnish Quality for the back

Sorry, I take fewer saunas in the hot weather. Some years ago I introduced a nonFinnish neighbor to the joys of sauna. He absolutely loves it. I will wait for his opinion. Niin se menee.
