If you like to take saunas, GET ONE!

I thought these were ridiculous/a joke when I first heard of a hat for a sauna!

Well, after some investigation, I was convinced to try it. After all, I first heard about it online from one of the most famous male fashion models from the 90s, Alex Lundqvist, from Sweden. He actually posted a picture of himself wearing one in "da" sauna claiming how it helps prevent overheating symptoms of nausea and dizziness. Before ordering one, I tested out this theory one night with two wash cloths soaked in cold water and rung out -- that's what they recommend to do with the sauna hat before going in. I was quite surprised at how much longer I was able to stay in, but also the length of time I was able to stay in before having to get out for my first cool shower rinse! I decided to order one from Touch of Finland and am very pleased -- it even has a nice Velcro closure strip on the back.

I've noticed I've been able to throw more water on the sauna rocks without getting overheated, and the edges of this hat keep the tips of your ears and scalp protected as well.

Just make sure to toss in the washer after each use -- there's a loop at the top of the hat to hang dry.

If a sauna hat works for a famous male fashion model from Sweden, they can do the same thing for me up here in "da" Keweenaw!
